FAQ

This collection of frequently asked questions (FAQ) provides answers to many common questions about our products.

What is PAO?

PAO (Period After Opening) is the period within which cosmetic products must be used after the first opening. The PAO symbol is now mandatory on all cosmetic labels with a shelf life exceeding 30 months in their original package marketed as of 11 March 2005. The symbol represents an open cream jar with a number that stays for the number of months by which the product must be consumed followed by the letter M.

Are your products tested on animals?

None of our products are tested on animals. All finished products are tested by a team of technicians that evaluate quality and performance. Also, all raw materials used for the manufacturing of our cosmetics are analysed for compliance with the technical specifications.

Are there natural ingredients in your products?

To meet with the desires of our clientele, who increasingly favours all things natural, we always add natural ingredients in our formulations, specially botanical extracts rich with beneficial elements for the human body. We have banned raw materials of animal origin to which a risk for human health can be associated.

What is the shelf life of your products?

All our products have a shelf life exceeding 30 months in their original closed packaging. After the opening, you have to refer to the given PAO, which may vary according to the type of product. For shampoos, conditioners, creams, powder bleaches, perms and straightening products, a PAO of 12 months is advisable, a PAO of 6 months for dyes and a PAO of 36 months for finishing products.

What are your production and delivery times?

Thanks to the flexibility that is a must with us and the efficiency of our organisation, we are proud of the very short leadtimes, among the quickest on the market, which allow us to plan short, medium and long term orders. In fact, our leadtimes are four working weeks as of receipt of order.

Why is a sensitivity test required?

The sensitivity test evaluates if a client can tolerate the cosmetic product in terms of scalp and skin sensitivity.

Some of my clients do not want product with ammonia, what is the alternative offer?

Always in step with market expectations, our R&D laboratories have developed different alternative solutions to the hair colours with ammonia, i.e our cosmetic oxidisation "ammonia free" colour that achieves results matching the regular lines with ammonia.

What is the difference between the 1:1 and 1:1.5 dilutions?

Both dilutions identify oxidisation colours with the same chemical reactions, whose main ingredients are conditioning and protective substances, colorants and ammonia. The only difference is the quantity of peroxide to mix with the colour cream:
   - 1:1 dilution for the market areas where a traditional coloration is requested with vibrant yet natural results
   - 1:1.5 dilution for the market areas where the coloration in demand is natural and warm with sheer results.

How can I be sure of the quality of the products?

Our company is ISO 9001 certified and is proud of its technological structures. Along with this we are Quality Assured by Proctor & Gamble whose standards surpass the ISO 9001. Our labs follow methods and procedures to ensure a stringent Quality Control to guarantee the compliance of the products and the customers' satisfaction. Tests, controls and trials are carried out on a) incoming materials; b) during production; c) at the end of the manufacturing process.
